| Love, you're getting lazy You're forgettin' to give me Sweet sugar words that I wanna hear You've been neglectin' me You know jealously, it is a bitter as a green spring berry
And just like fruit from a fickle vine You turn sweet in the nick of time Love you only come alive when you're losin' me And it's a childish game I've got to shake you up just to wake you up To make you love me
I'll shake the sugar tree Til I feel your love fallin' all around me You've got to tend to what you planted And if you take my love for granted baby I'll shake the sugar tree
Another night and you're sleepin' I'm awake and I'm dreamin' Oh honey 'bout the way that it used to be And little time's gone by Do you think that I'm content With the cookin' and the payin' of rent No I wanna know if your love's all spent
I'll shake the sugar tree Til I feel your love fallin' all around me You've got to tend to what you planted And if you take my love for granted baby I'll shake the sugar tree
I've got to raise some commotion Before you show me some real emotion
I'll shake the sugar tree Til I feel your love fallin' all around me You've got to tend to what you planted And if you take my love for granted baby I'll shake the sugar tree You know I'm gonna shake the sugar tree Til I feel your love fallin' all around me You've got to tend to what you planted And if you take my love for granted baby I'll shake the sugar tree
| My dear acquaintance, it's so good to know you For strength of your hand That is loving and giving And a happy new year With love overflowing With joy in our hearts For the blessed new year
Raise your glass and we'll have a cheer For us all who are gathered here And a happy new year to all that is living To all that is gentle, kind, and forgiving Raise your glass and we'll have a cheer My dear acquaintance, a happy new year
All of those who are hither and yonder With love in our hearts We grow fonder and fonder Hail to those who we hold so dear And hail to those who are gathered here
And a happy new year to all that is living To all that is gentle, young, and forgiving Raise your glass and we'll have a cheer My dear acquaintance, a happy new year Happy new year

| I wrote this whole emo post about how I'm an emotional wreck lately for reasons I can't even being to decipher, how I'm afraid of graduating because I'm clueless on how to get what I want, how I'm frustrated about people who can't handle group dynamics and more gratuitous wallowing, but then one of my favorite people in the world called me and put me in this amazing mood. Gotta love that.
Oh, and apparently I'm now the "Gossip Queen" according to my sorority's alumni representative because I'm good at handling/resolving it. Fun.

| A Song by Rilo Kiley called "Xmas Cake." Enjoy:
"It's almost Christmas..."
When I take off my make up I look old and defeated I'm not so dangerous Cry into my Christmas cake Staring holes into me all night You should just give up 'Cause our love's become selling secrets To the Russians they don't need The Cold War is on between you and me
25 years old and a bachelor's degree Your parents helped out with graduation fees The loans were never enough The credit cards are calling your bluff Hold your hand, cut them up, move away Or you'll paying them off 'til your kids grow up And do the same
There's no more running water Wrapping presents in the dark Move into your car Change where you park Too bad that job caroling department stores fell through But the new year is right in front of you
Cry into your Christmas cake Don't know what else to do Don't know what else to do (Fa la la fa la la la la)
I fear I'm going deaf I've got some sense left Give up some more to be with you (Ooh...) 'Cause what good is seeing if love's not looking back at you (Aah...) And what good is feeling if my hands aren't touching you
And another angel came down He was wearing only a cloud He said "Sew up the bad that you've done Tomorrow Christmas day comes" (Christmas day)
Cry into your Christmas cake Don't know what else to do Cry into your Christmas cake Don't know what else to do The new year's right in front of you (Fa la la fa la la la la)
| I have this friend who lives life with such fullness of spirit that it's impossible to ignore. He's full of vigor, always uplifting an forever radiates Christ. So for the next week, I'm going to try to emulate him. WWRD? | | |
